Mothers meet the daily challenge of fetching water
for drinking, cooking, bathing and washing.


"Mamie" (Zali Nrotto) is collecting water to take to the village.
This is the main water source for the south side of the village.

Volunteers boil their water to prevent waterborne diseases. You can
see the brown contaminants that have settled to the bottom of the pan.

When families don't have access to continuosly boil water, this
image clearly shows an end result of ingesting unsafe water. In the
center of this childs infected area, you see the Guinea worm as it's
exiting the wound.
